This year, Colonial Williamsburg will discontinue the historic triangle shuttle, which had been used to take visitors from the Colonial Williamsburg Regional Visitor Center to Jamestown, Yorktown, Busch Gardens and Water Country.
The Foundation created this free shuttle service with a transportation grant from the federal government to the National Park Service in 2005. Although the grant only funded this shuttle through 2011, Colonial Williamsburg chose to continue the shuttle with its own funding, assuming responsibility for the Busch Gardens and Water Country service in 2010 and the Jamestown and Yorktown service in 2012 and 2013. Due to new projects and priorities, however, the Foundation will not be able to continue its support for the shuttle.
Colonial Williamsburg will continue to provide transportation between the Visitor Center, the Williamsburg Lodge, the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg, and Merchants Square.
