After five full days (and four long nights), the fire is now dying down in the brickyard and the kiln is slowly starting to cool. It could take up to a week and a half before the brickmakers dismantle the clamp. When they do, we’ll have close to 27,000 bricks to be used in projects across the Foundation.
The brick firing is an annual event many guests look forward to, especially local photographers! Thank you to everyone who contributed images for this blog so that those who weren’t able to make it can still share in the experience. They represent different days and different stages in the process. We hope you enjoy them! (Photo credit below: Brenda Poole)

Years ago, you could purchase a brick … might this be done again?
Josh Graml says
They can indeed be purchased! The brickyard staff delivered 30 bricks to the Prentis Store on DoG Street this morning!
