American Heroes Channel will air a three-part series on the American Revolution and its unsung heroes, starting December 15. Let us take you on a behind-the-scenes journey into the making of the series.

I’ve seen just about every movie, miniseries, and television series created that pertains to the American Revolution. From The Patriot to TURN: Washington’s Spies and every talking head special on The History Channel, I haven’t missed one yet. And I certainly don’t plan on missing this one. Discovery Network’s American Heroes Channel is focusing its new series, The American Revolution, on some more unknown names of the founding of our great nation. Check out some great behind-the-scenes videos on the making of the series below. It was filmed in Virginia!

The first introduces you to director Kevin Hershberger; actor D.L. Hopkins, who plays Salem Poor; actor Justin Young, who plays Dr. Joseph Warren; and producer Luke Ellis.

The second behind-the-scenes video is really cool! Learn about the special effects and how veterans got involved.
