    One myth that is to often spread is that people were much shorter in the centuries before us.

      I’ve heard that it’s possible that she didn’t, but we have no evidence that she did not sew the first flag. Sometimes I feel it is best to let the harmless myths alone, as they become part of America’s heritage and tradition.

    I always heard that “sleep tight” meant having a tight suspension of ropes under a tick mattress. I’ve since learned it just means sleep well!
